A dated house was stripped back and rethought from the ground up. Warm wood volumes now organize the open main level, a continuous lighting reveal traces the ceiling, and a restrained material palette lets daylight move through the home from morning to the long golden light of evening.
The defining move happens at the top: a rooftop terrace that lifts the living space above the rooflines to capture an unbroken view across the District — wood decking, a low parapet, and a glow of integrated light framing the city without competing with it.
